And Why You May Want to Join Too

Why I Am Here
I have been a volunteer with The Union for over a year now. I can’t remember exactly who or what led me here, but I can tell you why I am here.

Volunteering my talents helps me live out my purpose: leave the world a better place than I found it. I am very frustrated with the current state of polarized traditional political party structures and operations, and I feel the need to do something new and innovative. I want to contribute time and effort which plays to my strengths via intentional action, not random activity.

Lastly, I have found The Union a great place to make new friends.

Why You Should Be Here
So, why should you join The Union? I can think of a few reasons off the top of my head.

First, paraphrasing Gandhi, it’s a place to be the change you want to see. And the best way to do that is to get involved. Please don't leave it to others. Hope is not a strategy. Moreover, don’t get run over by the future bus; get on and grab the steering wheel.

It is going to take all of us to move our country into the future in a positive way, not backward to what we have been.

Get future ready, and join The Union.
