This Is Not A Drill

The Imperative to Vote this November

If a heavily-armed stranger is seen roaming a school hallway, or a skyscraper’s fire alarm is triggered by hidden smoke and flames, there’s absolutely zero time to waste. Only swift and serious action can save the day. It’s not at all far-fetched to see former President Trump as a ticking time-bomb, one who’s running for the White House as his only clear path to staying out of prison for the rest of his life.

We frequently hear that we are living in extraordinary times, but REMEMBER WHEN:

• Criminals and con-men were prevented from running for office;

• It was inconceivable that an occupant of the Oval Office would foment a coup;

• Elected officials jeered at heads of state in the British Parliament, not the U.S. Congress;

• Politicians weren’t afraid of ex-politicians; Americans weren’t afraid to vote or be poll workers;

• And bipartisanship was regularly practiced because it worked and legislation passed;
  

Together we have the pro-democracy power to turn the tide against the disreputable Republican nominee and his acolytes. It’s no small thing, but all we need is exceptional voter turnout to stop the madness that is MAGA.

SO LET’S GET REAL. THIS IS NO TIME FOR APATHY. Get active, plan your vote and join The Union to become involved in the effort to save democracy.
