Scott considers himself a conservative voter.
This post is part of a Q&A series with voters who have volunteered
to share their perspectives leading up to the November 2024 election.
Political Perspective
Scott considers himself conservative because he believes in small government, fiscal responsibility, strong defense of the American people and taking responsibility for our individual actions.
However, concerning social causes, Scott believes the government has no responsibility to tell people how they should live (for example: abortion / IVF, LGBTQ debates, religious freedom). "Small" government should have no say in what people believe.
Background
Scott has worked in multiple manufacturing / supply chain roles globally over the past 30 years and has been fortunate to live and work in Asia, Europe, and of course the US. He has a young family (oldest is 10 years old) and is concerned for their future.
