The bare minimum level of performance Biden needed to deliver last night was to show he was energetic and has a solid mind. I think he failed badly on both fronts. To me it really doesn't matter what the reasons are for what happened.....it happened and I don't think that bell can be unrung.
My take: If Biden is on the ticket in November our next president is Trump. For people in the middle - who could vote either way - I think someone like Trump (even with all of his horrible faults) is better than someone whose mind is fading. (I'm obviously not capable of, nor am I trying to, provide a "diagnosis". What matters is peoples' opinion. And that opinion is what will drive their voting decision.)

I agree, sadly. On the other hand, a younger, energetic candidate has the potential to upend this dismal race.
